A Vernon man wanted in connection with a New Britain shooting was arrested Wednesday with an illegal .40-caliber gun and fake identification card.
Rondell Chambers, 30, was charged with a half-dozen offenses, including criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree forgery and two outstanding felony domestic violence warrants, police said.
Chambers was located by detectives Wednesday morning near 455 Maple Ave. and was spotted discarding a bag as he exited a vehicle.
He was taken into custody and police then found a loaded Bersa Firestorm handgun inside the bag and that Chambers had a state driver’s license with his picture but a different name, Lt.
