A man was shot multiple times Thursday night behind the American Eagle Federal Union in Vernon on Route 30, police said.
Police were called to the nearby Shell gas station just before 11:40 p.m. Thursday and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Lt. William Meier said.
The man was taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital but his wounds do not appear to be life threatening, Meier said Friday evening. No other information about the incident was immediately available.
Police have asked anyone who witnessed the shooting or who lives nearby with home surveillance video to contact investigators at 860-872-9126.
