A police department spokesperson said officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of a parking lot on Elm St., behind 47 Burnside Ave, where they found an adult man with an apparent gunshot wound.
The man, 35-year-old William Gonzalez of East Hartford, was taken to a local hospital, where he died, police said.
