A man who sent anti-Semitic death threats to a Stratford resident for nearly a year pleaded guilty to a hate crime charge Tuesday.
Christopher Rascoll, 49 of Blauvet, New York, pleaded guilty to one count of interference with the right to fair housing, a hate crime, and a count of sending threatening messages before U.S. District Judge Kari A. Dooley.
The threats, sent through text, voicemails and Facebook posts, began in November 2019 and continued through June 2020, investigators said. Rascoll threatened to blow up the individual’s home and car alongside anti-Semitic comments regarding the Holocaust, investigators added.
