A Hartford man was holed up inside a Frog Hollow residence Tuesday after threatening police when the were called for a well-being check.
A family member alerted police to check on the man at his Hamilton Street home mid-afternoon Tuesday, but he threatened to hurt the first responders who arrived and has barricaded himself inside his apartment since, Lt. Paul Cicero said.
Police remained at the home and negotiators responded to the scene to attempt to make contact with the man, Cicero said.
The scene remained active at about 5:30 p.m. as police continued to try to communicate with him and monitored the situation.
