A 32-year-old man was arrested in Florida and sent back to Connecticut Friday in connection with a murder in Waterbury last August.
Jonathan Poventud, 32, was charged with murder, first-degree reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a pistol and four other offenses, police said.
They found a crowd standing around the unresponsive victim, Marcus Darby, 46, who had a gunshot wound to the chest. Darby was then transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.
Poventud was arrested for the murder in the state of Florida and sent back to Waterbury late last week, police said.
