A Rhode Island man who state police said fatally shot his friend while fooling around with guns at a New Milford party last year was arrested on a manslaughter charge Tuesday.
Hector Diaz-Negron, 47, of Warwick, was arrested on a warrant charging him with second-degree manslaughter with a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm and unlawful discharge of a firearm, state police said.
He remained in custody Wednesday afternoon on $100,000 bail after his arraignment in Superior Court in Torrington, according to Eric Groody, deputy chief clerk for criminal matters. His next court date was scheduled for Aug.
