Man, 38, charged with 18 offenses in connection to Winchester domestic violence home invasion

WINCHESTER — A 38-year-old man is facing 18 charges in connection to a domestic violence home invasion Sunday that left an individual with a broken jaw.

David F. Pope, 38, was charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree assault, home invasion, six counts of risk of injury to a minor and nine more offenses.

“The male was reported to be armed with a hammer and had assaulted one of the residents, resulting in a broken jaw,” police said. “The adult victim injured in this case, required hospitalization for injuries sustained during the invasion. The victim was transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for treatment.
