Live Updates: UConn Men’s Hockey vs. Providence

UConn men’s hockey begins their 2018-19 conference schedule tonight as they take on the Providence Friars at Schneider Arena. The Huskies are 1-1-0 on the young season with a 5-1 win over Army in the season opener before falling to in-state rival Quinnipiac on Tuesday by a final of 4-2.

The Friars, meanwhile, are ranked No. 5 in the nation after beginning the year 2-1-0. They opened the season with a 3-1 win over AIC before heading to PLACE for the Ice Breaker Tournament. They defeated Miami (OH) 4-0 before falling to No. 2 Notre Dame, 3-0.

Tonight, UConn will be without top freshman, Ruslan Iskhakov, who is scratched with an upper body injury after getting taken off the ice on a stretcher against Quinnipiac after a vicious hit.
