The UConn Huskies, who were coming off of a tough loss against Navy last weekend. looked to redeem themselves as they battled the Virginia Cavaliers at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Huskies would come out victorious 13-10 when Virginia’s Alex Burbank field goal sailed to the left of the uprights with no time remaining on the clock.
Virginia got on the board first with a field goal after a long drive taking up more than 5 minutes on their second offensive possession. Although Virginia was able to put together a long scoring drive, the UConn defense showed their bend-don't-break mentality by keeping them out of the end zone and only allowing a field goal.
