Lamont rolls back changes planned for Connecticut travel advisory, announces ‘pact’ with New Jersey and New York

Last week, Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont floated the idea that the state may strengthen its travel restrictions and require all travelers to either test negative for COVID-19 or quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in the state. Then, on Monday, Lamont announced that he’d been convinced to instead relax the restrictions so that fewer states and territories qualify for the list.

And at a Tuesday press appearance in Windsor, Lamont announced yet another plan: Connecticut’s travel advisory restrictions will remain the same, but the three states collaborating on the list — Connecticut, New Jersey and New York — have agreed not to add each other to their respective lists.
