In the midst of a career year, former UConn men’s basketball star Kemba Walker has been named a starter for the Eastern Conference in the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.
Walker has made the All-Star Game the last two seasons, but this will be his first as a starter. This year, Walker is averaging a career-high 25.0 points per game. He’s surpassed the 30-point mark 13 times, including a career-high 60 points against the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 17.
Along with Houston Rockets’ star James Harden, Walker is one of just two players in the league with over 1,000 points, 250 assists, 150 rebounds, 150 three’s and 50 steals at this point in the season.
