UConn women’s basketball continued their stretch of dominating play last week, grabbing two huge wins, an 11-point victory over No. 5 Louisville on Monday followed by a destruction of Temple on Sunday.
Katie Lou Samuelson played a large part in those wins that extended the Huskies’ record to 26-0 and was not only named American Athletic Conference player of the week, but the ESPNW and USBWA national player of the week as well.
She shot 68 percent from the field across the two games, averaging 26.5 points per game. Samuelson was 8-of-14 from 3-point range as well.
