UConn men’s hockey junior forward Jonny Evans made history on Friday, becoming the first Husky ever named a Hockey East First Team All-Star.
Evans, a Hobey Baker Award candidate who was also declared the conference’s leading scorer and a Three Stars Award winner, leads the conference with 14 goals and 28 points on the season.
Fellow juniors Jachym Kondelik and Tomas Vomacka were both named Third Team All-Stars as well. Kondelik finished the regular season with 18 assists, the top mark in the league, and was the conference co-player of the week after scoring three goals and adding one assist against Providence last Friday.
