Joe Ganim sues an airline after he says he was bitten by a another passenger’s dog

Bridgeport Mayor Joseph Ganim is suing Delta Air Lines, complaining he was seated on a flight and awaiting takeoff when he was bitten by a dog brought aboard his flight by another passenger.

The suit, in state Superior Court, describes the bite to his “lower left extremity” as painful and disfiguring. It asserts that Ganim was forced to submit to a painful course of anti-rabies treatment because Delta refused to help him determine whether the dog had been properly vaccinated.

Ganim was in his assigned seat on Delta flight 1841 on Nov. 10, 2018 when, without provocation, he was bitten, the suit asserts.
