State fire investigators announced Monday they were unable to determine the exact cause of the fire that burned down part of the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp last month.
The fire broke out on the evening of Feb. 12 and investigators believe it started in the camp’s Main Street area before spreading quickly through several buildings at the heart of the organization founded by Paul Newman.
“Investigators were not able to identify the ignition source that caused the fire,” state police said. “There is no indication that the fire was intentionally set or has any criminal aspect associated.
