Alexander Timothy Hassinger, 24, of Shady Rest Boulevard was charged with first-degree harassment and breach of peace, they said. He was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court in Waterbury July 15.
According to police, a Virginia resident complained to the state police about what the person called a disturbing tweet. The tweet, posted at 11:39 a.m. Wednesday, said, “imma kill a cop today and when they ask me why I did it, imma tell them he was acting nervous and looked at me wrong.”
Detectives from the Western District Major Crime Squad investigated with help from troopers from the Troop A barracks in Southbury, state police said.
