Hundreds muster for Trump car parade past Connecticut Capitol ahead of election

HARTFORD — Hundreds of cars and trucks from across Connecticut mustered together before slow rolling past the state Capitol Sunday afternoon in a show of support for President Donald Trump three days before the election.

The vehicles, part of a procession that drew drivers from all corners of the state, were clad in signs, or waved flags reading “Trump 2020.” The drivers gathered in Manchester before heading toward the Capitol in Hartford at about 1 p.m.

A message seeking comment sent to a social media page for the organized event was not returned Sunday afternoon, but a national page coordinating similar events in all 50 states said: “American patriots from all corners of the Country will gather together and organize into rolling flag parade caravans within their states.
