About Amity: The Spartans look to duplicate what only Shelton (L) was able to do from 1972-74: win three consecutive state titles. Eli Oliphant is scheduled to start for Amity (4-2 in finals). Junior 1B Chris Winkel, headed for UConn, homered and singled in a run in 6-3 semifinal win over Southington. Other top players include LF Devin Belenski, headed for ECSU, P Doug Rives and DH Mike Appel (CCSU), all seniors.
