Hartford State’s Attorney Gail P. Hardy apologized for long delays in deadly police shooting investigations and committed to avoiding these lapses again as she went before the Criminal Justice Commission Friday to seek reappointment to another eight-year term as the area’s top law enforcement official.
The commission did not vote on Hardy’s reappointment Friday following several hours of questions that addressed the police shooting investigations, community involvement and the extent of her role in the cases and trials in the judicial district.
The commission plans to take the matter up again Monday and will vote on whether to reappoint Hardy.
