The majority of the stolen vehicles were from the suburbs and were taken when owners left their key fobs inside their vehicles, police said. The cars were recovered in a collaborative operation between the department’s Auto Theft Unit and its Violent Crimes Unit.
The recovered cars included a 2019 BMW X3 from West Hartford, a 2017 Kia Sorento from West Hartford, a 2016 Ford Edge from Simsbury, a 2008 Infiniti EX35 from Hartford, a 2017 Mazda CX6 from Fairfield, a 2016 Subaru Outback from Hamden, a 2010 Honda Civic from Meriden, a 2010 Mercedes E550 from Wolcott, and a 2017 Ford Fusion from Westfield, Mass.
