Police have released the name of a homeless man who was fatally stabbed over the weekend in Hartford.
Bryan Monroe, 48, who is originally from Manchester, was found in the city’s South End with “multiple stab wounds throughout his body,” police said. The stabbing happened at 194 Maple Ave. about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the deadly stabbing. Anyone with information that may help is asked to call the Hartford police anonymous tip line at 860-722-8477 (TIPS).
This was Hartford’s 21st homicide of 2020, and the fifth caused by a weapon with a blade.
