A Hartford motorcyclist died Sunday after a collision with a car on I-91 in Meriden, state police said.
David Mendoza, 41, of Hillside Avenue in Hartford, was taken to Midstate Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Mendoza was riding a 2003 Yamaha YZF600R on I-91 north near Exit 17 about 7:20 p.m. when his motorcycle and a 2004 Ford Focus driven by Gloria M. Torres, 39, of Holyoke, Mass. collided, state police said. Neither Torres nor her three passengers appeared to be injured.
