A Hartford man was arrested Friday night after a Southington woman reported he sexually assaulted and strangled her inside her own home.
Anthony Williams, 28, was taken into custody without incident at the home but later injured an officer during processing at the Southington Police Department, officials said Saturday morning.
Williams was charged with first-degree sexual assault, second-degree strangulation, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer, according to Southington police records.
The incident began at about 11:30 p.m. when officers were called to what was originally reported as a problem with a guest in the home, Lt.
