Nine people were displaced by a fire in a three-family house in Hartford Monday, a fire official said.
No one was injured in the fire at 144 Adams St. in the Upper Albany neighborhood late Monday morning. It was under control by 1:20 p.m., District Chief Mario Oquendo Jr. said.
Inspectors from the city’s License & Inspections Division determined that the house is not able to be occupied, Oquendo said.
The fire department’s Special Services Unit is helping the American Red Cross find temporary housing for the five adults and four children who live there, he said.
