Hartford police seized a litany of drugs and an untraceable “ghost gun” on Tuesday after raiding the home of a suspected drug dealer following a months-long investigation.
Rafaelito Rivera, 24, was charged with more than 10 narcotics and weapons offenses, in addition to an outstanding arrest warrant on assault charges, police said.
The Vice and Narcotics Unit spent months investigating Rivera’s activities found evidence he was packaging and selling drugs from his Broad Street apartment, just across the street from the Trinity College campus, Lt. Paul Cicero said.
Detectives obtained a search and seizure warrant for the apartment and the department’s Emergency Response Team tactical unit accompanied them Tuesday to arrest Rivera and search his home, Cicero said.
