Hard work and home cooking - Manchester business owner and volunteer leader Dotti Cannon dies

Dorothy “Dotti” Cannon, a local volunteer leader and business owner who swore by home cooking and hard work, died on June 10. She was 72.

“I want the food I eat at home with my family to be the same I give to my clients,” Cannon told The Courant in 2015 on the ten-year anniversary of Brown Sugar Catering. “They deserve the best of me.”

A graveside service at West Cemetery on Spencer Street is to be live-streamed on the John F. Tierney Funeral Home Facebook page --https://www.facebook.com/TierneyFuneralHome/-- Wednesday at noon.

Cannon grew up in Manchester, daughter of Richard and Bernice Cobb, and graduated from Manchester High School in 1965.
