GLASTONBURY — A protest set for Saturday in Glastonbury takes aim at what an organizer says is a pervasive culture of racism in town schools.
Former Glastonbury High School student Erin Melocowsky, who graduated last year, identified herself as a leader of the protest on behalf of BLM860 Youth Coalition. She recounted an environment where the n-word is commonly used in conversation by white students and administrators look the other way.
