It’s been a while since UConn football won a non-conference game on the road. The last time the Huskies did so, head coach Randy Edsall was on the sideline. Well, the other sideline. That win came back in 2012 against Edsall’s Maryland Terrapins, a 24-21 victory.
UConn is hoping they can break that streak today against the Syracuse Orange at the Carrier Dome. The Huskies hold a 6-4 advantage all-time against the Orange and the last time they defeated their former Big East rivals was back in 2011. Since then, Syracuse has claimed two-straight meetings, including a 31-24 victory in Bob Diaco’s final season.
