The Marriott hotel in Farmington, for decades one of the premiere hotels in central Connecticut, isn’t taking reservations after May 24 and its top manager won’t say whether it’s closing.
“There will be a press release coming out this week. I’m not going to comment,” General Manager Luis Arellano said Monday.
The Marriott chain’s reservations site shows rooms available at the Hartford Marriott Farmington through May 24, but all days from May 25 on are listed as “not available for check-in.”
Town Manager Kathleen Blonski said by email she could not comment because Marriott has not filed any permit application or other documents with the town, and other town officials said they had not heard about any impending change of status for the hotel.
