Three additional individuals were arrested in connection to an animal neglect and credit card fraud case from earlier in the year, Stamford police announced Tuesday.
A total of four people have been charged after an investigation found that “several incidents of veterinary services were paid for with fraudulent credit cards,” and that “numerous dogs were being housed and possibly neglected,” in late February near Belltown Road in Stamford.
In early March, police searched the residence of 24-year-old Nygel Joseph and seized 20 puppies. Two additional puppies were “turned over” to police and all the dogs were examined and treated at local veterinary hospitals.
