Former UConn Star Maya Moore Wins Third-Straight WNBA All-Star Game MVP Award

Former UConn Huskies star Maya Moore was originally selected to be a captain in the 2018 WNBA All-Star Game held at her home arena in Minneapolis, MInnesota. Instead, she passed on the captaincy and gave the duties to Candace Parker as Moore wanted to enjoy the weekend while hosting the other All-Stars.

It turned out to be a good idea for Moore as she helped lead Team Parker to a 119-112 win over Team Delle Donne. Moore’s 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists were good enough for her third-straight WNBA All-Star Game MVP Award.
