UConn baseball just can’t stop showing up on baseball’s biggest stage. In 2016, UConn (Avery Point) alum Rajai Davis hit a game-tying home run in game 7. Last year, George Springer won the World Series MVP. And now, Matt Barnes earned the win in Boston Red Sox’ 8-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Barnes came in the fifth inning in relief of starter Chris Sale. He struck out one batter in his inning of work and did not give up an earned run.
