Tage Thompson was recalled to the St. Louis Blues on Monday after an impressive stint in the AHL with the San Antonio Rampage.

Thompson, who played two seasons under Mike Cavanaugh at UConn and is the program’s only first round pick, made the big club out of training camp due to multiple injuries to the Blues’ group of forwards.

He only played around 10 minutes per night until the team got healthier, posting a minus-three rating in four games.

Thompson was much better once he was sent down to the Rampage, scoring 16 points (9-7—16) in 24 games with a minus-one rating.
