Former UConn Husky George Springer Named MLB All-Star Starter

Former UConn Baseball star George Springer was named a starter for the 2017 MLB AL All-Star team.

For a long time, pitcher Charles Nagy held the mantle for former UConn Baseball players in professional baseball for a long time. He was a three-time All-Star, earning the nod in 1992, 1996 and 1999. He also finished in the top-10 in Cy Young voting three times.
