SIMSBURY — Sports teams often talk about being a family, yet the Simsbury High School boys lacrosse team takes that notion to another level.
There are six sets of siblings on the team. Seven, when coach James Martocchio's assistants, Brian and Craig Wilson, are included.
Although it's not uncommon in high school sports for siblings to play on the same team, six on one team surely is.
"This is something that I've never seen before," Martocchio said. "We literally are a family."
Of the six, one pair of brothers, Ben and Zach Levin, are twins.
