Two firefighters were injured when they fell through a hole in the floor of a burning house in Manchester Wednesday, a fire official said.
The firefighters were not injured seriously and were discharged after being treated at area hospitals. While they suffered no broken bones, they were “banged up,” Battalion Chief Eric Borden said.
No one else was injured in the fire, which burned in a vacant house at 140 Campfield Road. No one was living in the house because it had been undergoing renovations, he said.
The fire was reported about 1:45 a.m. It appeared to have started in a second-floor bedroom and spread from there, Borden said.
