A fire broke out Monday afternoon on the roof of a Hartford building that used to be a nursing home.
Around 1:20 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to 210 George St. for a report of “heavy smoke on the roof,” Hartford Fire Department District Chief Mario Oquendo Jr. said.
The fire was quickly distinguished and completely out before 2 p.m. The building is unoccupied and no one was injured or relocated, Oquendo said.
The fire marshal’s office is still investigating the cause of fire and the building is being inspected.
