The last time the UConn women’s basketball played at Devlin Fieldhouse, they were nearly handed their first-ever American Conference loss. However, there would be no upset bid this time the Huskies crushed the Tulane Green Wave, 91-47.
Azura Stevens led the way off the bench, scoring 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting along with four blocks in just 19 minutes of action.
Tulane opened the scoring with a three but it all quickly fell apart from there for the Green Wave. UConn responded with a 15-2 run, spurred from a strong press that forced Tulane into 12 first-quarter turnovers.
