Fiery Torrington crash kills one person

One person was killed and at least one other injured early Tuesday in Torrington when a car crashed and caught fire.

A report by Fire Chief Peter Towey said ambulances took “multiple people” to the hospital, but did not specify how many.

The wreck happened near 255 Rossi Road in the city’s western end. Police have not said how many people were involved and haven’t released information about the vehicle.
