Despite a planned meeting Friday between the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference and the state Department of Public Health, state officials say high school football remains unlikely this fall.
Gov. Ned Lamont said Thursday that he called for the Friday meeting between the officials at DPH and the CIAC to hear the association’s case for fall football. Still, Lamont said a spring schedule appears more realistic.
“We’re going to sit them down, see what they can think about in terms of how to play it safely in the fall, or more likely in the spring,” Lamont said.
