Nearly two months after New Britain police announced a $50,000 reward for new information, detectives are still stymied by the 2017 homicide of Gabriel Pereira.
“Someone knows more. We’re hoping someone comes forward, maybe someone who was afraid or reluctant at the time,” Capt. Matt Marino said.
Pereira, 32, was shot to death outside a family birthday party on New Britain’s East Side. Three and a half years later, investigators said they have no motive for the shooting.
“It wasn’t like someone was lying in wait, and there’s nothing to suggest any previous problems resulted in this,” Marino said.
