A federal grand jury in New Haven has returned an indictment charging four Bridgeport men with racketeering, drug trafficking and murder, bringing the number of gang members implicated in the probe to eight, federal prosecutors said.
The eight are accused of committing six murders, Tom Carson, U.S. Attorney’s spokesman, said Thursday. The indictment was returned Monday and unsealed Wednesday.
The indictments are part of an ongoing investigation of gang-related drug trafficking and related violence in Bridgeport, Carson said.
It charges Keishawn Donald, 20; Trevon “Tre” Wright, 19; Kyran Dangerfield, 24 and Eric “Heavyweight Champ” Hayes, also 24.
