East Haven mom disappears in the middle of the night; police ask for public’s help in finding her

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing East Haven mother who they said suddenly disappeared in the middle of the night two weeks ago.

Lizzbeth Aleman-Popoco, 27, left behind personal belongings, and police fear she may have been the victim of a crime.

“At this point we are treating this investigation as suspicious and believe foul play to be a factor,” Capt. Joseph M. Murgo said. “We are still asking for the public’s help in distributing the flyer and keeping a lookout for her.” Callers may remain anonymous.
