An East Hartford man is accused of shooting and injuring a woman during an argument with an untraceable, so-called “ghost gun” Sunday morning in Hartford’s North End.
Luis Villafane, 32, was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with four offenses, including second-degree assault with a firearm, police said Monday.
The incident began when police received a notification from the department’s ShotSpotter gunshot detection system near 520 Garden Street and found a 32-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her ankle when they arrived, Lt. Paul Cicero said.
