Connecticut’s rate dipped back down on Wednesday, after the state reported a double-digit rate the day before, even as the state also reported the highest number of deaths in a single day since May.
After reporting on Tuesday the highest single-day positivity rate since the second wave of coronavirus began, the state on Wednesday reported a more tame 6.2%. Wednesday’s rate came from 3,529 newly identified cases, out of a total of 56,600 tests administered.
The state’s daily positivity rate has fluctuated widely in recent weeks — since the beginning of December, the daily rate has swung from a low of 5.
