Gov. Ned Lamont, in his first coronavirus briefing in a week, said on Thursday that Connecticut’s schools are still on track to reopen on time.
With schools beginning to reopen for in-person classes starting late this month, the Lamont administration is keeping close tabs on key metrics, including the number of new cases discovered per capita. Lamont said a county is moving into the danger zone if it hits 10 new daily cases per 100,000 residents — but right now, no county in Connecticut is nearing that threshold.
Fairfield County has the largest number, according to state data, but is still only at 3.
