After months of low infection rates through the summer, steadily rising COVID-19 infections in Connecticut and across the country have Gov. Ned Lamont and public health leaders warning about the danger of increased travel as the state heads into the holiday season.
“Many other parts of the country are very severely impacted by COVID right now,” Josh Geballe, the state’s chief operating officer, said. “So there is certainly risk that people traveling in from other states or other countries even could be coming to Connecticut having been exposed or potentially positive, so that certainly is an area of concern.
