UNCASVILLE – Katie Douglas, whose three-point shooting and defensive toughness turned her into one of the WNBA's top players for more than a decade, will announce her retirement Friday at a press conference at the Mohegan Sun.
"Katie Douglas is a champion, on an off the court," said Lin Dunn, her former coach with the Indiana Fever. "She has had an outstanding WNBA career, an all-star, a league champion. I am so proud of what she has accomplished on the court, but I am even more proud of what a significant contribution she has made to the communities she's played.
