Connecticut’s Department of Public Health on Thursday issued a formal advisory asking residents to remain at home between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., except for essential business.
State officials announced the recommendation on Monday, but the official advisory goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday. It does not apply to essential workers who are leaving their home to work, or to people who must leave their homes “on an emergency basis” for medical care, medications or food.
The “public health advisory for all Connecticut residents” recommends that they remain at home overnight.
